Multiple US agencies say a review of satellite imagery has not showed any signs of an explosion aboard the missing EgyptAir flight.

The officials, who spoke anonymously, said the conclusion was the result of a preliminary examination, and cautioned against media reports suggesting the US believed a bomb was responsible for a crash.

They added that the United States has not ruled out any possible causes for the disappearance, including mechanical failure, or terrorism.
