At least 23 people have been killed in three bomb attacks across Afghanistan. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the first attack which killed 14 Nepali security guards who were employed at the Canadian Embassy in Kabul.
Insurgents were also responsible for a second, smaller blast in southern Kabul which targeted a local politician. The Kabul blasts were followed just hours later by an attack on a market in the remote north eastern province of Badakhshan.
Authorities said at least eight people were killed and 18 were wounded in the attack.
