At least 53 people have been killed and a further 50 injured after a bomb exploded among a crowd of mourners at a hospital in Quetta, south west Pakistan. The victims had gathered at the hospital following the fatal shooting of a senior local lawyer earlier this morning.
As yet no one has claimed responsibility for the explosion. Police have cordoned off the hospital, restricting access to the site amid fears the death toll may rise. It is the second deadliest in Pakistan this year.
