Andrea Bocelli is the fifth tenor to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The famed Italian singer, who has sold over 70 million albums worldwide, was cheered on by fans and a young choir at the ceremony along Hollywood Boulevard on Tuesday.

Praising Bocelli before the star was unveiled was producer David Foster. The Grammy-winning Canadian, who has worked with the likes of Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion and Josh Groban, said Bocelli's singing voice was unmatched.

Bocelli's most recent album is "My Christmas," released last November in the US.
