Turn to more of the Single's Day shopping frenzy.Other countries have also joined the festival. Many businesses from Japan and Fiji are peddling their products on Chinese e-commerce platforms.
A Japanese supermarket has opened a sales section that includes everything from green-tea chocolate to vitamins in Chinese e-commerce website T-mall.
The manager of the supermarket said the outlet has prepared 80 thousand pieces of product for consumers on Single's Day. That's almost triple the store's average daily inventory.
"We aim to break 22 thousand orders on the Single's Day. " said a manager from Fresta.
Official Japanese statistics show that cross-border e-commerce between Japan and China has a market value of over 51 billion yuan.
Another country that benefited from China's shopping spree is Fiji. Fiji soap makers have stocked up 10 million yuans' worth of products for Single's Day.
"Our products are hand-made, so we need to maintain steady temperatures and humidity during transportation. It takes about a month to ship these products from the South Pacific to China. " said Shang Yuqing, chief of China REP. of Pure Fiji.
Pure Fiji has set up warehouses in bond areas in Shanghai, Ningbo, and Dalian. It sold 9 million yuan worth of goods to China in the first ten months of this year. Eighty percent of that came from e-commerce.
"China values online sales, we have to adapt to that." said Pure Fiji founder.
Fiji officials say the island is far from its trading partners and the costs of traditional trade are too high. Therefore, e-commerce has already become an important channel for the island's international trade companies.
